2025 was the year of the students.

With the Martin-Lysicrates Prize, the James Martin in my World booklet, the Martin Walk, and Mic Drop, it was all about the kids. It is hard to describe how satisfying and delightful 2025 has been, as a result.

The sight of the little faces in the theatre alight with joy and curiosity, would have been reward enough. But watching them cast the first vote of their lives, reading the moving, well-written stories in the booklet, seeing the students beaming after their Walk, and knowing that the figure of James Martin is seeping into kids’ consciousness, has given us tremendous extra joy and fulfilment.

We look forward to our continued association with you, our discerning, appreciated friends, in 2026. We may not have focused this year on our traditional Lysicrates offering, but we have introduced several student-related initiatives, and in any case, we are aiming to bring a Lysicrates Competition to you in 2027, having spent 2026 consolidating and expanding our student focus. Lysicrates lives! Let the banners fly!
