On Thursday 21st November, in Parliament House, the positioning of the statue of James Martin in Martin Place was announced in the presence of (left to right):
The Lord Mayor of Parramatta Bob Dwyer, the Shadow Treasurer and Shadow Minister for the Arts, Walt Secord MLC, the Member for Dubbo Dugald Saunders MLA, the NSW Treasurer Dominic Perrottet MLA, the Lord Mayor of Sydney Clover Moore, the Governor's husband Dennis Wilson, Dr Patricia Azarias, Sculptor Alan Somerville, the Governor of NSW Margaret Beazley AO QC, the NSW Minister for Planning Robert Stokes MLA, the Shadow Minister for Planning Adam Searle MLC, and John Azarias.

The actual unveiling will take place on Friday 14th May 2020.
